Today, our city is 700,000 Washingtonians strong.

That’s 700,000 reasons to love DC, and 700,000 dreams for the future of our city.

Let’s bring them together.

What would you do if you were not afraid to fail? That is the question we will ask ourselves for the next four years. That’s how we’ll challenge ourselves to think big—to go big or go home. We’re going to continue to build at least 6,000 units of affordable housing. We’re going to continue to make homelessness rare, brief, and nonrecurring. We will continue to make historic investments in public education because public schools are still the great equalizer in our society. Together, we’re going to ensure that Washington, DC continues to be a city that works for all Washingtonians.

– Mayor Muriel Bowser
